Eligibility Criteria

To join Made in Staffordshire, your business must meet the following criteria. Please ensure you take a moment to read through them before submitting an application.

1. The business must have a registered or trading address within Staffordshire or Stoke-on-Trent
2. The business must have been trading for at least 6 months
3. A substantial, material or value‑adding part of the product’s creation, transformation, crafting, processing or manufacturing takes place within Staffordshire*.

*This means that the business must carry out significant and meaningful work in Staffordshire that contributes directly to the identity, quality, function or essential character of the final product.

A process qualifies as substantial, material or value‑adding when it:

• materially changes the appearance, function, structure, or nature of the product
• involves original design, craftsmanship, skill, or technical work
• is a core part of how the product is made, not an optional finishing touch
• contributes significantly to the quality, identity, flavour, design, or performance of the final product
• is recognised as a meaningful stage of production within that industry
